Western Han Dynasty Gilt Bronze Horse Harness 西汉 鎏金青铜当卢
This ornate and highly intricate horse harness dates from the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–9 AD) and bears strong aesthetic influences from the steppe cultures from beyond China's northern frontiers. The Han dynasty produced many intricate works of gilded bronze, ranging from belt buckles to clips for sword scabbards, and these golden harnesses.
