Following on the previous comment,

Plan Overview
There are four ages and three age techs in the game framework, however they correspond to the development of the culture:

No age tech (dark age?) - culture first strong historical appearance (even if primitive), (For Chinese, planned ~Shang – Warring States)

1st age tech (development age?) - culture local unification or development of tech/art. (For Chinese, planned ~Qin – Southern/Northern Dynasties)

2nd age tech (expansion age?) - culture strong period when it was expansionist militarily or culturally. Perhaps expansion by trade or colonisation too. Generally - significant enough to affect those around. (For Chinese, planned ~Sui – 5 Dynasties 10 Kingdoms)

3rd age tech (golden age?) - culture top influence or hypothetical state by the late 15th/early 16th century. (For Chinese, planned Song – still Ming)

Comments below of the roster:
">" indicates upgrade with change in unit image
n.unit indicates that unit is first available after n age techs are researched
[n.unit] indicates that unit is outside culture but highly relevant
Even though units below may fall into more than one categories, there are no planned repeat listings. The unit will be put into the most appropriate category

Chinese (i.e. this part of the list does not include those categorised only as Sinic)

Infantry (cold weapons)
Some tier 3 listed in this section have some form of grenades.
Some shielders (except rattan shield etc.) can have weaponized shields.

Machine (gunpowder)
Chinese artillerymen lagged behind their European counterparts in experience, fire discipline and trajectory calculation. Trajectory calculation was also relatively useless when facing fast-moving steppe cavalrymen, so they typically used short-ranged cannons to fire spray shot, similar to giant shotguns. I suggested representing this by increasing miss chance and reducing range, but giving 1 power range to the cannons.
I also suggest war carts and assault carts to have no movement cost action/able to shoot while in moving form, due to their need for rapid deployment.

Inland, mostly oared ships are usually slower on deep water than medium/shallows
These ships' boarding + hooks are improved by Yuloh Oar. They are also given slight speed increase ability.
