The patterns are reminiscent of Persian or Sogdian designs. Somewhat 'un-Chinese'.

well that's early Tang for ya.

Assuming that the Tang even tried to distance themselves that far from the Xianbei- northern style of dress.
Interesting combo of very non-han clothing with distinctively chinese hairstyles

the lady in green is directly influenced by an unearthed doll from the Astana Necropolis near modern Turpan in the Tarin Basin dated to early Tang. While the lady in white is also from the necropolis on a silk painting
