THREE KINGDOMS TOTAL WAR IS COMING!!!


I have been gushing about this all day with all of my social circles. Thank you Creative Assembly, a hole the depth of a skyscraper has been filled in my heart. Lol, one more reason to not kill self!

My oh my oh my oh my was I happy to see the comment section filled with more people who knows about my culture than myself at times. This is what happiness looks like!


I think on a personal note, in order to prep any who might be interested, I would spend several months and pump out infrmation about the heroes and special units of this legendary era. Cannot wait for it!!!

The developer for Total War: Three kingdoms is Creative Assembly.

Activision is probably the last company to ever develop a strategy game, they are only interested in FPS & RPG where they can squeeze in more micro transaction.

OMG Vincent, I don't know how long I have been waiting for a Total War game about China. China has always been a blackhole in the CA games but now this is wayyy of a step up. It's like a dream that has finally came true. I can't express how much of a vote of confidence this is. I will be posting quite a few articles about the Three Kingdoms era in the coming months and possible suggestions for other eras where China would be featured (Warring States, Tang era, Asia before Ghengis Khan, and East Asia during the transition between Ming and Qing (Imjin War, coming of Europeans Explorers, great SE Asian Empires etc)

Yeah, I've been playing the Total War games since my cousin introduced me the first Rome total war and Medieval 2. I also had been waiting so long for them to make an official installment for China.^^

Maybe you can provide advice if CA is hiring historic experts.

I have all of their historical titles, all of them and much mods, I have spent at least 2000+ hours in this game.

I'd love to be one of their advisers or concept artists/ Game designers. It would fit my ambitions well <3 <3 <3

Sometimes it seem 3K era games are too much fantasy oriented and as much as I'm excited about this it's kind of disappointed in regard to character design (Guan Yu blade???). They might as well renamed it TW:Dynasty Warrior ��

Now if they made Tang Dynasty era DLC with all those Tibetan, Sassanid, Abbasid, Dali, Yamato, Silla, Umayyad, Goguryeo, Baekje faction plus sub faction such as Anxi Protectorate, Various Turkic Kaghanate, Sogdian/Bactrian City States that would be f**********g awesomes

Agreed, I'm not too keen on specially Lu Bu's design (his microfeathers,) and I actually seen what many of the historically obsesses criticisms are coming from- many don't hate having China, they just feel that history was somewhat detracted. Either way, these are not fatal flaws, I mean there could easily be realistic mods that make it more realistic, make the generals more vulnerable (but also rewards their success with faster experience etc)

There also could be mods that modify the armors easily for the champions. All in all, whatever most players don't like- they could easily change it with mods.

As for a Game set in the Tang dynasty? Hell yeah man! I've been contemplating making one since forever. I honestly did not expect CA to create a game set in China (Save Victoria TW or Medieval III) so I thought about making one independently. I love 7th century Asia, Chinese and Tibetan Empire, and all of the colorful Silk Road and Steppe Khaganates :) .

Just happen to stumble upon this treasure browsing for images of iron pagodas.
I find your images and writing very clean and accessible to read,its quite alot more detailed on the subject than English sources,but easier to read than Chinese sources(which constantly use literary Chinese writing).

Thanks you,I thirst for the knowledge of different armour and weapons used in Ancient and Medieval Asia.
Looking forward to the Three Kingdom articles!

Most of the armour are not suitable for Han dynasty. Same mistake as Koei.
