A large collection showcasing examples of exquisitely preserved painted medieval Chinese sculptures. Most of these will be from the Ming dynasty. Examples include from the Daoist Taifu Temple in Fenyang, Shanxi, China- well known for its collection of vividly painted scenes featuring vivid figurines of deities and maidens, as well as carriages traveling over dynamic, swirling clouds, all intricately carved and richly detailed. These ornate landscapes were meticulously made and depicts an idyllic paradise. The last set consists of the Da Yuanxiang Museum, which houses a vast collection of well preserved medieval painted sculptures.

Beside the ornate dragons, the Taifu Temple is also known for its collection of vividly painted scenes featuring vivid figurines of deities and maidens, as well as carriages traveling over dynamic, swirling clouds, all intricately carved and richly detailed.
